About tattoo lettering
Tattoo lettering splits into two traditions that barely overlap. Blackletter is dense and vertical, built from broad-nib strokes with sharp terminals, and it holds up as it spreads under the skin over the years. Fine script is the opposite bet: thin hairlines and long flourishes that read beautifully fresh and need placing carefully because thin lines blur first. Both are below, so you can set the same word each way before committing to it.
