Font licences and using your images
Can I use an image I make here?
It depends on the font and your project. Exporting a PNG, SVG or animation does not remove the font's licence conditions. font.gg does not grant permission on behalf of a font designer or brand owner.
The editor shows the selected font's licence label. Follow Usage details for the source and terms. Labels summarise the evidence we have found; the owner's licence takes precedence.
What the labels mean
- OFL or Apache
- An open licence has been identified. It permits personal and commercial graphics, subject to its terms. Sharing or modifying the font file has separate conditions.
- Noncommercial terms
- The source limits use or requires permission for commercial work. Check before using the design in client work, advertising, merchandise or a monetised project. Some licences also limit publication.
- Check licence terms
- The font has custom, commercial or asset-specific terms. Read the linked source for your intended use and ask the owner if it is unclear.
- Permissions unverified
- We have not established the permissions for this version. Availability on a font website is not permission to publish or sell a design made with it.

Brand-style lettering
font.gg is an independent tool and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the brands shown. Brand names identify the lettering being discussed. Some fonts recreate a style or offer a close match; they are not official brand releases.
A font licence does not grant rights in a brand name, symbol or logo. Avoid presenting a generated design as an official product or endorsement. Changing the wording does not automatically clear a design for every use.
